从2014年11月底开始，来新西兰表演的音乐家们及其团队人员将只需要申请旅游签证即可来纽表演，签证手续大大简化。
旧政策下，音乐家来新西兰表演需要办理工作签证。新政策实施后，通过新西兰移民局认可的音乐推广机构申请来纽表演的音乐家只需办理旅游签证，申请费用和申请难度上都降低了很多。
申请成为移民局认可的音乐推广机构要求如下：
▍the promoter must have been established for at least three years, as demonstrated on the promoter’s current company registration documentation
▍the promoter must have a credible record of promoting international performers in New Zealand in the past three years
▍the promoter must have a history of compliance with immigration requirements to date, and
▍the promoter’s application must have the support of the New Zealand Music Commission, the Ministry of Culture and Heritage, or Creative New Zealand.
