To all offshore advisers and agents

New Zealand’s Immigration Advisers Licensing Act aims to protect migrants by licensing people who provide New Zealand immigration advice, both within New Zealand, and offshore. Offshore people who are licensed by the Immigration Advisers Authority, the organisation responsible for managing New Zealand immigration adviser licensing, will be able to show the global marketplace that they meet New Zealand Government quality standards.
新西兰移民顾问许可证法案将境内境外提供移民咨询服务的顾问进行职业规范化，从而达到保护移民利益的目的。境外的顾问由移民顾问管理局颁发执业许可证。该机构负责新西兰移民顾问许可证的管理，并保证这些顾问提供的服务满足新西兰政府的质量标准。
From 4 May 2010, anyone based outside New Zealand and providing advice about a New Zealand immigration matter must have a licence from the Authority, unless exempt. Anyone in New Zealand and providing immigration advice had to be licensed from 4 May this year, unless exempt.
从2010年5月4日开始，任何在新西兰境外提供新西兰移民咨询服务的个人都必须取得由该机构颁发的执业许可证，除非享受特别豁免。在新西兰境内提供此项服务的个人已于今年5月4日起必须持有许可证，除非特别豁免。

This does not mean that that you will automatically require a licence, but we ask you to have a good look at the information on our website about offshore immigration adviser licensing by clicking on the links below, and then decide whether you will need to apply for a licence.

This audio visual presentation will provide a simple step by step guide to completing your application. We will email a link to you as soon as the presentation is posted on our website. This is currently scheduled for Friday 31 July.
