Traditional Chinese Medicine is a holistic system of healing which has diagnosed, treated, and prevented illness for at least 3000 years. Traditional Chinese Medicine is now widely used in Europe and America and is becoming increasingly popular around the world. This is leading to a growing need for qualified practitioners.
Traditional Chinese Medicine College of New Zealand is an institute registered and accredited by the New Zealand Qualifications Authority (NZQA) as a private education provider. We are committed to providing training of the highest quality in Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM).
The focus of TCM is to maintain health and prevent disease, using a wide range of natural interventions carefully designed to support the balanced functioning of the individual. Rather than treating symptoms, it is the physiological imbalances underlying the manifestation of disease that are diagnosed and remedied. Traditional Chinese Medicine College of New Zealand offers an executive level TCM qualification that reflects a high level of academic and service excellence. Finding a balance between theory and practice is a strong characteristic of the programme and is reflected in our faculty members who represent both the academic and TCM practitioner environments.
The courses provided by TCM(Traditional Chinese Medicine) College of New Zealand cover the philosophy, concepts and a number of therapies taken from the system of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), including Acupuncture, Tuina, Qi Gong and Chinese Herbal Medicine and they offer a holistic approach to health care. The programmes also cover the latest research and debates in the use of complementary medicine and its value in society.
